Regulations

• The payment must be made at least two weeks before the course commences. A place cannot be reserved until the payment is fulfilled.
• You must be 18 years of age or more to apply. Those who are under 18 can apply if accompanied by a parent or who acts in their place.
• Each lesson lasts 55 minutes.
• For the Italian Language and Culture Course the minimum number of students per group is 4. In case there are less than 4 students in a group the number of hours is reduced according to the following scheme: 3 students – 3 hours a day, 1-2 students – 2 hours a day.
• The school is not responsible for the loss of personal property on its premises.
• It is advisable to be in possession of a medical insurance for the duration of the stay in Italy. The EU citizens are entitled to free medical assistance provided that they have the E111 form.
• No lessons will take place on the public holidays indicated in the course calendar. There will be no refund for these lessons.

• It is expected that the students arrive on the Sunday preceding the start of the course and stay at least one week. Any particular circumstances should occur, the students are advised to contact the school’s secretary to make sure that accommodation is available for the period needed.
• The accommodation is to be freed by 12 a.m. on the Saturday after the end of the course.
• Because of a greater number of requests we advise to book well in advance for the summer period.

Payment information
One can choose to pay the deposit of 150 € or 500 € when applying and the rest on arrival to the Civitas Italia for the start of the course.
The payment can be done in the following ways:
Credit Card
We accept Visa and MasterCard. If you pay with a credit card the supplement of 3% of the whole sum is charged to cover the bank expenses.
International Bank Transfer
When paying with the International Bank Transfer please send the copy of the payment by fax at +39 0733785691 at least two weeks before the course start. The supplement of 5 € is charged to cover the bank expenses.

Cancellations and refunds
For the students who have not arrived yet
If the reservation is cancelled well in advance and not later than 2 weeks before the start of the course, the costs of the tuition, accommodation and transfers are refunded. The charge of 100 € is made to cover the school’s expenses. The same rules apply in case the student fails to get an entry visa. The copy of the official proof of the refusal from the Italian authorities is to be submitted together with the cancellation request.
For the students who have started the course
No refund is made for airport transfer (arrival or departure). No refund is made on tuition fees, but students who wish to defer their study programme may do so at no extra charge within 12 months. The accommodation costs are refunded at the discretion of the Civitas Italia. In case of the refund the charge of 100€ is made to cover the school’s expenses.

Information note on personal data protection

Under the Italian privacy law we are required to inform you that the personal data we have requested is absolutely indispensable to facilitate the enrolment process.
The personal information supplied will be processed by the Civitas Italia staff both electronically and by paper means and it will be used only for organizational, administrative and didactic purposes.
In order to provide you with a better management of our activities, your permission for the use of your personal data is required.
We guarantee that we communicate your personal data only when it is absolutely necessary for the performance of our services or when it is required by the Italian law.
By signing this form the student also gives his/her permission to include the personal data on a mailing list for enrolment purposes and for receiving informative or promotional material for the Civitas Italia srl.
Under the Italian law (art. 8, legislative Decree 196/2003) the student can at any time demand to remove the personal data from the school’s mailing list by sending a written request via email, fax or mail.
